If you’re in doubt, call us — we’d rather you ring and find out it can wait than suffer unnecessarily. Common dental emergencies we treat include:
• Severe or sudden toothache
• Knocked-out or loosened tooth
• Chipped, cracked, or broken tooth
• Lost crown, bridge, or filling
• Dental abscess or facial swelling
• Broken or damaged dentures
• Soft tissue injuries to the gums or mouth
Knocked-out tooth?
Keep it moist. Place it back in the socket if you can, or store it in milk or inside your cheek. Get to us within an hour for the best chance of saving it.
Abscess or swelling?
Don’t apply heat. Rinse gently with warm salt water and take over-the-counter pain relief if needed — but call us straight away, as infections can spread quickly.
Lost filling or crown?
Dental wax or sugar-free chewing gum can temporarily protect the area until your appointment.
Yes. We always try to accommodate patients in pain, even if you’re not currently registered with us. Call us as soon as possible so we can find you the earliest slot.

We’ll always ensure you’re comfortable before beginning any treatment. Local anaesthetic is used routinely, and our team is experienced in treating anxious patients with care and patience.
Costs vary depending on the treatment required. We’ll always explain your options and provide a clear cost before proceeding. Practice plan members receive a 10% discount on required treatment.
An abscess is a serious infection that needs prompt attention. Please call us immediately — don’t wait to see if it improves on its own.
